Terms and Conditions:

We are a store that is owned and supported by Be In Christ churches (Wainfleet, Port Colborne, and Welland.) It is not required that everyone volunteering at the store have the same Christian beliefs, however we do ask that you respect our Christian beliefs.

 

Privacy: This form will be kept on file at the New to You Thrift Shop as long as you are a volunteer with us and will be used only to check your references and refer to your contact information.  This information will not be shared outside the management team or with any other organization.

Application Process: Your application will be reviewed by management, and if/when there is an opening which fits your skill set you will be called in for an interview. There is a three month trial basis for all new volunteers.

Health and Safety: As part of your volunteer training, it is mandatory that you complete the Ministry of Labour’s Worker Health and Safety Awareness training and our Orientation Training.  All materials will be provided for you.

 

Volunteers must wear proper footwear in the store, proper footwear consists of a full shoe or closed toe sandals.

In an effort to ensure the safety and secure working environment for all our volunteers, please let us know if you have any health concerns or physical restrictions we should be aware of.

Agreement and Signature: By submitting this application, I affirm that the facts set forth in it are true and complete and I give my permission to the management team to complete a personal reference check.  I can respect the Christian beliefs of the New To You Thrift Shop.
